U.S. Seizes Domains of Chinese Botnet Targeting Government Agencies

The U.S. government seized domains linked to a Chinese state-sponsored botnet (QTFY) that targeted federal agencies including NASA, the Justice Department, and the Senate. The operation rendered the botnet inoperable by disrupting its command and control infrastructure, which had been used for cyberattacks since 2018.

The FBI has seized domains associated with a botnet that allowed Chinese-backed hackers to breach several U.S. government departments.
