ConnectWise Disables Cloud Backup Identities Following Microsoft 365 Tenant Compromise

ConnectWise has suspended seven application identities, including ConnectWise Cloud Backup, following an investigation into unauthorized access that compromised Microsoft 365 tenants. The incident involves threat actors exploiting application identities to gain access to affected tenants.

ConnectWise on Saturday said it has disabled seven ConnectWise application identities as it continues its investigation into an incident in which unknown threat actors obtained unauthorized access to the application identities and compromised Microsoft 365 tenants.
