Anthropic Grants METR Researchers Employee-Level Access for AI System Evaluation

Anthropic is granting METR researchers employee-level access to evaluate its AI systems, safety practices, and risk management processes. This collaboration aims to enhance transparency by allowing independent assessments, with METR publishing findings without prior approval, except for limited redactions.

METR will publish its own assessments of Anthropic’s risks, incidents, and practices, and the frontier AI model maker has given up the right to block them.
