A suspected data breach at a major ID card verification service exposed over 150 million U.S. and Canadian driver's licenses and passports, leaked via a dark web site called Nexus. The breach, linked to the company IDScan, is under investigation by the FBI, with hackers reportedly accessing real-time data.

An identity theft search site claimed to have more than 150 million driver's license photos stolen from an ID verification service. The crime site has now shut down.
